Jacob Joseph first became interested in Students for Haiti while it was a growing student organization at the University of Delaware. A Biology major with minors in Biochemistry and Anthropology, Jacob has diverse skillsets that he developed as an organization member. He served as club Webmaster and eventual Vice President, all the while gaining confidence with respect to management, fundraising, and public speaking. Jacob travelled to Haiti twice as an undergraduate which sparked his interest in public health. He spearheaded projects addressing issues of food security with a grant from the College of Health Sciences as a college senior and now conducts extensive research on child and maternal health at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware. He plans on continuing his education in public health and hopes to return to Haiti in the near future.
