Group's Milestones and Achievements
The Empowering Haiti through Education Fund exists solely to support "rising stars" from Haitian high schools, who, without financial support, would not be able to realize their potential and pursue higher education in the USA. The scholarship helps these students to attend Grand Valley State University so that, after receiving their education, they can return to Haiti and further that nation's development. If you would like to contribute please go to www.gvsu.edu/haiti The purpose of this organization shall be to provide 1) fund raising support and increased awareness of the Empowering Haiti through Education GVSU scholarship fund; 2) Opportunities for students to participate in service opportunities both locally and in Haiti; 3) Opportunities for GVSU students to experience Haitian culture and food. Raised $18,383 for the Empowering Haiti through Education Fund In 2012 Haitian Dinner at Grand Valley State University we served over 100 Haitian meals and raised over $400 Held numerous amounts of events at GVSU to help get donations for the the education fund
