Group's Milestones and Achievements
We will be taking 6 students from Colorado and California to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti over spring break. We will be meeting with different grass root organizations such as women's groups, youth groups, schools, orphanages, community organizations, and others. We will be standing in solidarity with these organizations, having had a relationship with them for the past 4 years. We will provide these organizations with financial support for teacher salaries, resources, school leases, community gardens, the tuition for university students, as well for micro loan funding. We are going to Haiti for our first time as a group and will be going with the intention of making this trip an "assessment". We will be researching and talking to these different organizations to find out what we can do here in the states pertaining to foreign policy, as well as creating sustainable projects that we could implement in Haiti. We will be exploring what these Haitians need in order to become self-sufficient and how we can accommodate those needs. We hope to have your support in standing in solidarity with these hard working, inspirational voices we meet with.
