We have hosted several large events in the past. This past fall, we organized a panel on UN accountability for cholera in Haiti featuring speakers working in legal affairs, public health, and international aid. Last spring, HHA hosted the Haitian Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe along with one of his advisers, Jerry Tardieu and Daniele Jean-Pierre, the Chief Legal Officer of the USAID in Haiti. Last spring (2013), HHA hosted Paul Clammer for a talk about tourism that was very well attended. That same season, we also hosted Jonathan Katz for a talk on reconstruction in post-earthquake Haiti. In the spring of 2012 & 2011, we collaborated to host Haiti Leve, a benefit soccer game that featured the Haitian national team and the Harvard soccer team. In addition, we now have a public service program that serves roughly 50 youth and adults at the Boston Missionary Baptist Community Church through French classes and computer literacy classes. The program is done in collaboration with our faculty advisor and several Harvard undergraduates.
