I am extremely excited to continue working as a video production intern for Students for Haiti. Currently I am helping draft a script and figure out which shots will work best to capture while some of our representatives are in Haiti. There is a great network of people and support here and I love being a part of that.

Hi prospective interns! My name is Grace and I am the Student Outreach Coordinator and I have personally found the experience really rewarding. You know you are really helping Haitians in a big way because it is just students like me involved and you can see your work make a difference whether you are working on the website or trying to reach out to people. It is always interesting with lots of new things to learn and try. Everyday I am learning new things about marketing, website management and non profit work. They are really flexible and it is really a “take as much work as you can handle” type of internship. In summation, I have been working as an intern here for a couple of months now and I have already learned so much and I am looking forward to learning more!

I have learned so much as an intern for Student for Haiti! Researching news every week and learning more about the wonderful country of Haiti has further strengthened my love for the country and its people!

Hi everyone! My name is Emily, and I am the Head Intern. I have been an intern for about a year now, and it is one of the best things I’ve ever done. When I joined Students for Haiti at the University of Delaware my freshman year of college, I became inspired to make a lasting difference in Haiti. This internship has allowed me to do just that by working to connect student groups and NGOs all over the country so that they share resources and achieve even greater successes! Through this internship, I’ve gotten the opportunity to improve my interpersonal skills and foster teamwork among different groups of people all while preparing for medical school. None of this would be possible without the great team of interns that we have. Because of our strong community, each intern is able to work the internship around his/her schedule! We can’t wait to have even more interns on board!

I have loved the chance to learn more about current events in Haiti and work with other people passionate about our cause. I wish I had some way of knowing if my posts were actually read though; I hope my work is useful and makes a difference. I encourage others to get involved, but it can be discouraging if your work is unseen or does not make an impact. Still, I’m glad that I took advantage of this great opportunity.
